1930’s Whitefish Bay Two Story Addition
Having outgrown this 1930’s Cream City brick Colonial, the homeowners decided on a two-story master suite and family room addition to meet their expanding needs, remain near good neighbors, and stay in the same school system.
The new addition enhanced the family’s lifestyle with an efficient mudroom entry and covered porch, an enlarged family room off the kitchen for entertaining, and a second-story master suite to call their own. This phase of the renovation also included a new front entry with a stamped walkway, second story bathroom remodel, additional storage, and refinished hardwood flooring.
The end result is an amazing master suite for the homeowners’ own space away from the children. It features a walk-in shower, granite countertop and brushed nickel fixtures for a clean look. Downstairs, the 18’ x 18” family room addition met their entertainment needs as well as a space for their growing family to enjoy. The room is now adjacent to the kitchen, where a new countertop and stools were placed to connect the two rooms together.
