Project Manager
JOB OPENING: PROJECT MANAGER / LEAD CARPENTER
The S.J.Janis Company is growing and seeking an experienced, project manager to join our team. We have been remodeling homes since 1951, are located in Wauwatosa, WI, and work in southeastern Wisconsin. S.J. Janis is a highly organized award winning company that specializes in high-end design driven remodeling. Our goal is to make the remodeling experience enjoyable for our clients and transform awesome homes.
POSITION PROFILE:
The Project Manager is responsible for the coordination, supervision and construction of various residential remodeling projects. As a Project Manager you will manage the overall involvement to include the suppliers, trade contractors and clients to complete all construction aspects of each project. This job is the liaison between the architectural department and the field staff. You must have strong organizational, communication and computer skills, knowledge of a broad range of construction methods and techniques and a very good understanding of all the trades relevant to residential construction. He is expected to manage each project to be on time, on budget as well as exceeding clients’ expectations. Rough and finish carpentry skills required for the job.
ACHIEVE GOOD WORK HABITS THAT INCLUDE:
- Five or more years of experience constructing and supervising remodeling projects with increasing complexity.
- Demonstrated competency in the areas of estimating, scheduling, budgeting/cost control, and field supervision and client relationships.
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Good oral/written communication skills. Ability to interact and communicate well with co-workers, trade associates, suppliers, clients and inspectors.
- Competency with PC-based scheduling and software applications.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Carpenter
JOB OPENING: CARPENTER
The S.J.Janis Company is growing and seeking an experienced, full-time Carpenter to join our team. We have been remodeling homes since 1951, are located in Wauwatosa, WI, and work in southeastern Wisconsin. S.J. Janis is a highly organized award winning company that specializes in high-end design driven remodeling. Our goal is to make the remodeling experience enjoyable for our clients and transform awesome homes.
POSITION PROFILE:
The Carpenter position is responsible for working with our lead carpenters on various projects. A working knowledge of home remodeling from demolition to finish carpentry is required. Must be a people person and be able to communicate with clients while maintaining satisfaction throughout the construction process.
ACHIEVE GOOD WORK HABITS THAT INCLUDE:
- Must have a minimum of 5 years residential construction experience.
- Must have excellent communication and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines.
- Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record and reliable truck or van.

Sales Consultant
JOB OPENING: SALES CONSULTANT
The Sales Consultant position is responsible for selling residential remodeling projects to clients, understands and meets their needs, represents value to them and positively enhances their lifestyle. Works with our design staff to create the client’s vision, responsible for costing the project and presenting professionally and selling the project. Reports to the sales manager.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
