General Requirements:

Typical Job Tasks and Expectations:
  • Time breakdown: 75% carpentry/25%project managing
  • Site prep, demolition, and excavation
  • Rough framing and carpentry
  • Operate power tools and small equipment
  • Window and door installation
  • Interior and exterior trim
  • Cabinetry installation
  • General understanding of building science and trade work (electrical, plumbing, mechanical, etc.)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Communication with the team and clientele
  • Willingness to take direction and accept criticism
  • Capacity to learn and continually improve

Job Requirements and Compensation:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Mon-Fri 7:30 am- 4:30 pm
  • Hourly wage, experience and performance-based, Paid BiWeekly
  • Paid vacation and holidays
  • Health insurance

DESIGN CONSULTANT

The S.J.Janis Company is growing and seeking an experienced, full time Design/Sales Consultant to join our team. We have been remodeling homes since 1951 and moved to a new larger office in Elm Grove. We are a highly organized, multiple award-winning company that specializes in high-end design driven remodeling. We make the remodeling experience enjoyable for our clients adapting their homes to their lifestyle.
 
POSITION PROFILE:
The Sales Consultant position is responsible for selling residential remodeling projects to clients, understanding and meeting their needs, representing value to them and positively enhancing their lifestyle. Works with our design staff to create the client’s vision, responsible for costing the project and presenting professionally and selling the project. Reports to the sales manager.

  • Willingness to put in an extra effort and a can-do attitude.
 
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • (5) Years experience in architectural, interior design, or kitchen design background.
  • Demonstrated competency in the areas of design, software applications, and networking client relationships.
  • Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous projects and groups of people.
  • Must have excellent communication and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Compensation commensurate with experience, skill level, drive and can exceed 100K.
